Awards UK Ltd started trading in 1997 following research, which indicated that employers wanted awarding bodies that could deliver SVQs and NVQs on a UK-wide basis as opposed to having separate sets of Quality Assurance staff and administration procedures for Scotland and the rest of the UK.
We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Edexcel and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), two of the largest and best known awarding bodies in the UK.
We can, therefore, provide you with access to a wide range of UK qualifications through a single route.
We offer:
- A 'one-stop shop' enabling access to the range of SQA and Edexcel qualifications using a single data collection and administrative system.*
- A single approval system covering both SQA's and Edexcel's qualifications.
- A single verification system which covers both SQA and Edexcel qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Regulatory Bodies (eg QCA).

- Provision of technical and generic advice on issues relating to the qualification development, accreditation and awarding.
